1What Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Email address
  • Full name
  • Account creation date and authentication credentials

Account information is stored securely through Supabase Auth.

Uploaded Files

When you upload PowerPoint presentations for conversion:

  • The complete PowerPoint file content is temporarily stored
  • File metadata (size, number of slides, upload timestamp)

Files are encrypted at rest and automatically deleted within 14 days of upload. See Data Retention and Security sections for details.

Payment Information

Payment processing is handled exclusively by Stripe. We do NOT store:

  • Credit card details or full card numbers
  • Banking information
  • Complete payment method details

We receive only transaction confirmations and Stripe payment receipts. Payment data is subject to Stripe's privacy policy.

Usage Data

We collect information about how you use our Service:

  • Number of presentations converted
  • Number of slides per conversion
  • Conversion success/failure status
  • Features used and frequency of use
  • Page views and navigation patterns

Feedback

When you submit feedback through our feedback widget:

  • Your feedback message and comments
  • Email address (if provided)
  • Associated ratings or scores

Location Data

We collect your IP address to:

  • Determine your country for geo-pricing and currency display
  • Comply with regional requirements

We extract only the country from your IP address and do not store the IP address itself.

Analytics and Cookies

We collect standard web analytics data:

  • Pages visited and time spent

3Data Retention

Uploaded Files

Encrypted at rest and automatically deleted within 14 days of upload, regardless of whether the conversion was successful

Converted Files

Available for download for 14 days after conversion. Encrypted at rest and automatically deleted after the 14-day retention period

Account Data

Retained for the duration of your account. Upon account deletion, personal data is removed within 14 days, except where required by law

Payment Records

Retained as required by tax and financial regulations (typically 7 years for tax purposes). Payment card details are never stored by us

Feedback

Retained indefinitely in anonymized form to improve our Service. Personal identifying information in feedback is removed within 14 days

Usage Analytics

Retained in aggregated form for up to 2 years to analyze trends and improve Service performance

IP Address / Location Data

Not permanently stored. Used for country detection during each session and discarded

4Third-Party Services

SlideArabi uses the following third-party services to provide and maintain our Service. These providers may process your data according to their own privacy policies.

Stripe (Payment Processing)

We use Stripe to process payments. Stripe handles all payment card information and complies with Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards. Stripe does not store your complete payment information with us.

Data shared: Transaction details, billing address, and amount

Supabase (Authentication & Storage)

We use Supabase for user authentication, account management, and secure data storage. Supabase is a backend-as-a-service platform that provides PostgreSQL database and authentication services.

Data shared: Email, name, account credentials, usage metadata

Anthropic Claude AI (Translation Processing)

We use Anthropic's Claude AI models to process and convert your PowerPoint presentations to Arabic. Your presentation content is sent to Anthropic's servers for AI processing.

Data shared: PowerPoint file content (text, images, formatting)

Railway (Backend Processing)

Our AI translation pipeline runs on Railway's cloud infrastructure. Your presentation content is processed on Railway servers during the translation and conversion workflow.

Vercel (Hosting)

SlideArabi is hosted on Vercel's cloud platform. Vercel may collect standard server logs and analytics data.

Data shared: IP address, page requests, server logs

Important: SlideArabi does NOT sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to any third parties. We only share data with these essential service providers to deliver our Service.

5AI Processing Disclosure

How Your Content is Processed

SlideArabi's core function is to convert English PowerPoint presentations to Arabic. This conversion is performed using AI technology (Anthropic's Claude AI models). Your presentation content must be sent to Anthropic's servers for processing.

  • Your PowerPoint files are processed by Claude AI to generate Arabic translations and right-to-left layout formatting
  • This processing is necessary to provide the Service
  • Processing occurs over encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS)

AI Model Training

Your content is NOT used to train AI models.

  • We do not use your presentation content for AI model training or improvement
  • Claude AI processes your content to generate translations but does not learn from your specific data
  • Anthropic's handling of your data is subject to their privacy policy and terms of service

Data Sharing Limitations

Your presentation content is shared only for processing purposes:

  • Content is shared ONLY with Anthropic (for AI translation processing)
  • Content is NOT shared with any other third parties
  • Content is NOT shared for marketing, analytics, or any purpose other than translation
  • You retain all ownership rights to your content

Important: By using SlideArabi, you acknowledge that your presentation content will be processed by AI and transmitted to third-party servers. If you are concerned about sharing content with external AI services, you should not use SlideArabi.

6Your Rights and Choices

Right to Delete Your Account

You have the right to delete your SlideArabi account and all associated personal data at any time. Account deletion is permanent and will remove your email, name, and account history within 30 days. This does not affect payment records retained for legal compliance.

Right to Download Your Data

You can request a copy of your personal data in a structured, commonly used format. Contact us at the email provided in the Contact section to request your data export.

Right to Opt Out of Communications

You can control communications from us:

  • Transactional emails: You cannot opt out of essential emails (receipts, password resets, account updates) as these are necessary for Service operation
  • Marketing emails: You can unsubscribe from promotional emails using the unsubscribe link in the email footer
  • Service announcements: Important security or service updates may still be sent as they are critical to your account safety

GDPR Rights (EU Users)

If you are located in the European Union, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

7Security Measures

Your Presentations Are Encrypted

Every presentation you upload to SlideArabi is protected with encryption at every stage of its lifecycle:

  • Encrypted in Transit: All file uploads and downloads are protected with TLS 1.2+ (HTTPS) encryption. Your presentation content is never transmitted in plain text
  • Encrypted at Rest: Uploaded and converted presentation files are encrypted using AES-256 server-side encryption in our storage infrastructure (Supabase Storage, backed by AWS S3)
  • Encrypted During Processing: Communication between our application servers and AI processing backend occurs over encrypted HTTPS connections
  • Auto-Deleted: All presentation files (both original uploads and converted outputs) are automatically and permanently deleted after 14 days

Additional Security Measures

Beyond encryption, SlideArabi implements the following security measures:

  • Authentication: Supabase provides secure authentication with password hashing (bcrypt) and session management
  • Row-Level Security: Database-level access controls ensure users can only access their own data
  • No Human Access: Your presentation files are processed entirely by automated systems. No SlideArabi employee views your content
  • Access Controls: Server-side API keys and authentication tokens restrict access to authorized systems only
  • Regular Updates: We maintain up-to-date security patches and software versions

Important Security Disclaimer

No Absolute Guarantee: While we implement industry-standard security measures including encryption at rest and in transit, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

The security of your data depends on multiple factors, including the security of our systems, third-party services, your own device security, and password strength. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, please contact us immediately.

8Children's Privacy

SlideArabi is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under 18 years of age.

If we discover that a user is under 18, we will promptly delete their account and associated data, except where retention is required by law.

If you believe a child has created an account or provided information to SlideArabi, please contact us immediately using the information in the Contact section.

9Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, and other factors. Any material changes will be communicated to you as follows:

  • Prominent notice on our website (banner, modal, or other alert)
